“Newcastle University was my first choice for university for a number of reasons; it’s a Russell Group university, my course sounded great, the city is (in my opinion) the best for a student in the country and it’s a high performance rowing centre. I was attracted to NUBC in particular as it offers all experiences, there is the opportunity to trial and train with some of the best student athletes, and there is the chance to train and race in bigger boats and win the big competitions. The training is tough but so rewarding, and it’s sets up a friendly and motivating atmosphere within the club. I have achieved so much with NUBC and if I had the chance I would do it all again as I have made the best memories and met some of my best friends through the club.”.”

“Picking Newcastle Uni was a pretty easy decision for me, as it offered great degrees from a Russell Group university, is one of the top rowing programmes in the country and has the results to prove it. The Boat Club has great coaches, facilities and an unrivalled team culture, that continues after you leave uni, that makes everyone develop to their very best, personally and as rowers. You work hard, have a lot of fun, and make some unforgettable memories. Best 4 years of my life.”
