This weekend four Newcastle University alumni are representing Great Britain at the first World Cup in Belgrade, Serbia. James Rudkin, Tom Ford, Tim Clarke and Sam Arnot all rowed at NUBC during their time at Newcastle University and were extremely successful members of the club. Three of the four won the Prince Albert Challenge cup at Henley Royal Regatta back in 2014, and are now rowing in the mens 8 at World Cup I in Belgrade. The eight will race against three other countries, the Netherlands, Poland and Russia, in the A final tomorrow at 13:48pm, with BBC red button coverage from 10:30-14:00 and highlights on BBC2 from 16:00-17:30. Tune in to catch their race and send some blue star luck their way!
