Treasurer – Jonathan Fulwell

Senior Men’s Captain – Fred Gill

I joined Newcastle as a novice a couple of years ago and have enjoyed every minute of it. I trialled in my second year of rowing and got to Final Trails but did not make it into a GB boat for the summer. This year I will hopefully make that next step whilst being Men’s captain and being in a Newcastle boat that beats lots a good crews.

Senior Women’s Captain – Stephanie Barnett

I’m in my 3rd year at Newcastle studying English Literature and Politics and have been a member of NUBC throughout. I started as a novice, never having even sat in a boat before and rowing has now become a major part of my life here at Newcastle University. I never expcected to become so involved with a sport at University but I am now going into my second year as Senior Womens Captain, a job I really enjoy and have learnt a lot from and one which I was pleased to take on from the previous captain Alice Bentley who has now left Newcastle. I bought my own Siver Scull last year which has given me the chance to really work on my sculling and technique which helps in all other crews I am in and I am now aiming to go to trials in October, depending on my recent injury. I really enjoy being a member of NUBC, not just for the sport but for the social life, and I couldn’t imagine my university life without it.
